State Farm® Insurance Agent Chad Smith

"VERY unprofessional! Was with this agent for years and again had a rate increase out of nowhere. I called to inquire about it and the girl I spoke with didn't seem to know why it was increased despite her trying to explain. I said it was OK if she didn't know and that I was NOT trying to say she was stupid or anything but I would like to speak with Chad about it. She said no problem she would have him call me the next day as he left the office. Ok great. Not even 5 min later he calls YELLING at me saying I called his staff member stupid and threatening to cancel my policy and send me elsewhere all while yelling. I told him to stop yelling at me and he had no right to treat me this way and told him exactly what I told her. He said "you said "but" so you called her stupid." I said that was taken way out of context and that this was ridiculous. He continued to say he would cancel my policy (never defaulted on payment or anything ever btw) and said I'd be allowed me to keep coverage he would not agent anymore. I was great with this and told him so. It was absolutely insane. I called the main customer service number the next day and got with another agent. They told me he absolutely did not have the ability to cancel my policy like that and apologized profusely for him. I can not express how awful this man was to me. My 8 year old son even heard him yelling at me through the phone and didn't understand why either. Go to another agent if you want state farm. My father left there a couple of years agoand I should have took note of that. I've heard others say similar of his awful customer service. Just don't. I wish I could give zero or negative stars to this agent."

Mistakes happen, but how they are handled often speaks louder. I can tell Mr. Smith cares greatly about his clients and was genuinely disappointed that my experience was negative.
